Time to Go Home
All good things must end. Sooner or later it’s time to go home.
You will want to prepare by having a pre-departure meeting with group members. (Before or after dinner the night before you leave works well.) This will enable you to do a variety of things:
- You should review the timetable for departure and any procedures group members need to follow for checking out, dealing with bags, etc.
- This is a good time to collect departure taxes and tips (neither of which should be a surprise to your well-informed group — right?), and to pass out customer satisfaction surveys.
- This is also an excellent time to agree on a date and place for your post-trip party.
- When departure time comes, you will want to coordinate transfers, check-in and baggage handling, just as you did on the way down.
