Tracking the Results
In theory, the steps Just Add Water took should have increased the number of people who do more than just casually glance over their home page and leave. It should also have increased the average number of pages viewed by each visitor and the time spent on the site. But did it?
Fortunately, Google Analytics provided all of the answers. Comparing like periods of time, Just Add Water discovered that, by implementing this strategy:
- Average page views rose from 4.6 to 5.1 (11 percent increase).
- Average time on site rose from 2:56 to 3:17 (12 percent increase).
- Bounce Rate dropped from 38 to 27 percent (30 percent decrease).
All these indicators are positive and should ultimately result in increases in student enrollments and overall sales.
