Special Event Notices
These are short, one- or two-paragraph messages designed to promote a single upcoming event or activity. Notification of an imminent sale would be a classic example of such a notice; however, you can also use this format to:
- Announce the scheduling of a last-minute trip, class or other activity.
- Inform customers that a few openings still remain in a class, trip or activity you are trying to fill.
- Make customers aware of legislation or other public activity that may affect them as divers.
Here are links to a sample of a typical special event notice:
- Plain text (opens in a new window).
- HTML (opens in a new window).
Again, the key to successful special-event notices is to keep them short. If you can’t cover them thoroughly in a paragraph or two, provide a link to a web page that provides more detailed information.
